It all began in junior high. The time of first kisses, hand holding and dates to the local movie theater (which their parents would drop them off at). Danielle and Nick met and started dating so long ago, that they just laugh when asked about how they met. To them, it as if they have always been together, so it only seemed right that they would promise the rest of their lives to one another.

I spent an evening with them exploring the beautiful grounds of Independence Grove in Libertyville. It is one of my favorite locations to shoot at, and I was beyond excited to finally photograph an engagement session there — especially when Danielle told me that her and Nick wanted to rent a kayak during their session. Yippe, I knew it was going to be amazing … and it was. The crazy Chicago rain stopped just an hour before our session and stayed dry so that all of this could unfold in front of my camera.
