When I first talked to Jenna a month ago, I felt like I was talking to an old friend. She called me from Texas (where she currently lives), and I swear we talked about EVERYTHING. You know how when you first meet someone and you keep saying “me too”. Well that was us.

So when I met her and her finacee, Bojan, in Chicago at Kinzie Street Bridge for some urban engagement photos, I knew our session was going to be so much fun. What I didn’t know was that Bojan tore his ACL a few weeks before our session, so he was on crutches. :(

Now most of my grooms-to-be are wonderful during our session, but Bojan deserves the “Trooper of all Engagement Sessions” award. He went up and down all the stairs at Union Station along with wandering around Chicago for 2.5 hours on those crutches without one complaint.

Bojan is outgoing, a jokster and very sweet. Jenna is creative and bubbly. These two met at Purdue while in college through mutual friends. However their careers have moved them around the U.S. including moving them both to California after graduation.

You know they have a strong, amazing relationship because they went from living together in Cali to being hundreds of miles apart. Jenna is in Texas right now, while Bojan is in Indiana. When they are together, their eyes radiate with love for each other.

I mean how adorable are these two?!

Jenna’s favorite flower and flower for her August wedding is the bird of paradise (which is also my favorite!!), so we decided to work in the stunning buds to their session.

Jenna had these Nikes custom made for Bojan for his birthday which include their wedding date on the tongues of the shoes. Now he will NEVER forget their wedding date. :)
