Megan, a bubbly, numbers gal, was reviewing expense reports for the company she worked for when she came across one that wasn’t quite correct. She noticed a lot of mini bar expenses on an out-of-town business trip that she couldn’t approval, so she reached out to owner of the expense report, Ryan. Ryan, whom she had met when she first started working at the company, but who she didn’t know very well, was an attractive, charismatic sales representative. Megan explained it was against company policy to expense these items and that he would have to pay for them himself. The expense report though, had brought the two into each other’s lives. They soon starting hanging out with a few mutual friends from the office and five years later, Ryan proposed to Megan in Florida.

I spent a warm(ish) February afternoon wandering around the Naperville Riverwalk with Megan, Ryan and their adorable little dog, Lexi for engagement photos. While it was unseasonably warm for winter, don’t be fooled. This is Chicago … and we were quiet cold but we kept chatting about the warm weather Megan and Ryan had just left behind in Florida to keep our minds tricked.

Lexi joined us for the beginning of their engagement session, and she was SO excited to be out in the snow.

We pretty much had the whole Naperville Riverwalk to ourselves which was amazing.

I love that Megan and Ryan could go from a super sweet, intimate moment to a fit of laughter. I love, love, love when my clients relax and enjoy the experience, and Megan and Ryan definitely loosened up and had fun in front of the camera.
