I first met Amy and Dan while I was in Vietnam. Amy was hoping to schedule a meeting to chat with me about her July wedding, but I was half way around the world living 12 hours ahead of her. So we scheduled a Skype meeting to get to know each other better. It was almost like I was in their living room with Dan and Amy despite the smells of authentic Vietnamese food lingering in the air as we talked about the details of their wedding day. In the short amount of time of talking to Amy and Dan, I knew they these two were a pretty fantastic couple and as I got to know them better over the next 6 months, I only realized this more and more.
Their wedding day started off with slightly overcast skies and slightly cooler temperatures for a July wedding. As Amy dressed in her gorgeous gown, she couldn’t believe she was finally getting married. She looked beautiful as ever as her bridesmaids and cousins helped her slip on her shoes and jewelry. Friends and family gathered underneath the July sun as Dan and Amy promised to bind their families together and weather any storms they may encounter. And in that instant, their forever began.
Dan and Amy – It was such an honor to be your wedding photographer. Your love is remarkable, and I am so thankful that I could be there to document such a gorgeous day for two truly special people. I hope that the years ahead are full of lots of love, smiles and sweet kisses. Much love and xo – Brittany
Amy and Dan chose to have a first look before the ceremony allowing us more time for portraits and time to enjoy their cocktail hour with their friends and family.
The ground at Seven Bridges Golf Club are absolutely stunning and the slightly overcast day created beautiful light for the photos.
Dan looked extra dapper in his tux.
Dan’s two sons were his groomsmen. They made quite the handsome bunch, don’t you think?
Amy and Dan’s ceremony was just off the golf course and included beautiful music from a violist.
Despite seeing each other before the ceremony, they both had such beautiful reactions to seeing each other during the ceremony.
And just as the ceremony began, the shine peeked out from behind the clouds and kissed the ceremony with sunshine.
The evening began with some beautiful toasts ….
And entertainment from Anthony Cassano, a Frank Sinatra impersonator, who whooed over the ladies with his beautiful voice and roses.
The first dance is always my favorite part of a wedding to photograph …. because the moments are so authentic and real.
A very special thank you to the creative team members who made this day so special.
