Surrounded by love, Jonathan arrived a few days earlier than expected, but his presence instantly filled the hearts of first time parents, Matt and Lisa. He is the sweetest little thing …. no doubt, and I was honored to document this little peanut. We spent the day relaxing at Matt and Lisa’s home in the suburbs of Chicago …. allowing Jonathan to lead the way for our photo session. Jonathan slept peacefully in the arms of his parents the whole time, while Spunky, Matt and Lisa’s adorable Yorkie, cuddled on up on Matt’s lap to watch over his new baby brother.

Matt and Lisa – I hope these images serve as a permanent memory that you can look back on for years and years as your little one will no doubt grows up way too fast. Matt and Lisa are huge Disney fans (they got married at Disney in Florida), so we had to photograph Jonathan among his basket of Disney stuffed animals.

I love documenting raw, authentic moments … like this one.

I have known Matt and Lisa for over a decade, so it was extra special to photograph Lisa as she gushed over her little boy.

And I’ll end with this photo …. it seemed that Jonathan was happiest (and most content) when he was right where he should be … cuddled up in the arms of parents who love him more than anything.
