Update for 2026: While the Naples Botanical Garden remains one of my favorite spots for engagement photos (permit required), they have significantly limited their large-scale wedding bookings. If you love this lush, tropical look, I recommend checking out Hotel Escalante as stunning alternatives that offer a similar “secret garden” vibe.

A: “Golden Hour” in Naples typically occurs 60 to 90 minutes before sunset. Because the sun sets over the Gulf of Mexico, this timing provides soft, flattering light and prevents harsh shadows during beach ceremonies.

Q: Which Naples wedding venues have the best rain backup options?

A:Florida weather can be unpredictable! Venues like The Ritz-Carlton, Naples and Grey Oaks Country Club offer stunning indoor ballrooms and covered terraces that ensure your photos look incredible even if the weather doesn’t cooperate.

Q: How do we handle the heat during a Naples summer wedding?

A: For summer weddings (June–September), I recommend a “Sunset Session” strategy. We do the majority of your portraits in the hour before sunset when the temperature drops and the light is softest. This keeps you (and your hair/makeup!) looking fresh for the ceremony.

Q: Are there any “Iconic Naples” spots for photos besides the beach?

A: Absolutely! If you want a break from the sand, Third Street South and 5th Avenue South offer incredible European-style architecture, lush bougainvillea, and “Old Naples” charm that looks editorial and timeless.

A: For standard portrait sessions (like engagements or families) with just me and my camera, no permit is typically required. However, if you are planning an actual ceremony on the beach, the City of Naples requires a wedding reservation to ensure your space is held.
