They pledged their love in front of their friends and family last year during a big wedding with all the bells and whistles. As they were about to start their lives together in Chicago, Erin and Connor chose to reaffirm their commitment. It was a vow renewal, but more importantly, it was a declaration of their constant love to each other … still.

Inside a small room at city hall, Connor and Erin glowed with happiness as they slipped their wedding bands on one another. They whispered their everlasting promises into each other’s ears and sealed their words with a kiss.

The Chicago forecast called for rain, but that didn’t alter the day for Erin and Connor. It was all about their love. Once we left city hall, the afternoon drizzle stopped.

We had all of the Lurie Gardens to ourselves … the rain scared everyone else away. :)

I met Erin and Connor for the first time just moments before we walked into city hall. Erin and I had been emailing for week, and her and Connor were even sweeter than I imagined. Their zest for life is contagious.

What I loved most about my afternoon with Erin and Connor was their genuine excitement and happiness. They exuded this energy that their love conquers all and that together they will achieve greatness.

As they start on this new adventure together, Chicago is home.
