The afternoon started in the charming barn at Oak Hill Farm in Galena. Hillary’s gorgeous Monique Lhuillier wedding dress hung from the wooden ladder as the girls gushed over all of the perfect details that Hillary had planned including the gorgeous bouquets made by Hillary’s mom, Bonita. As Hillary dressed, the oooh and aahhs continued and it was no surprise. Hillary was simply stunning and glowing as she kept reminding us that today was finally the day she was getting married.

The sun peeked out from behind the clouds throughout the day, and the July weather in Galena was just warm enough. It was a perfect day. And no detail was left unthought of. From the adorable custom drink koozies each guest had at cocktail hour to all of the DIYed signs, escort cards, centerpieces and more, Hillary and Jack planned a gorgeous wedding to celebrate their love. They said their I do’s in the sweetest little white chapel on the Oak Hill Farm grounds. As friends and family shared their excitement and happiness with Hillary and Jack, they talked about how these two were destined to be together. It has been all of the things they have experienced together – the good, the bad, and the tough that has made Hillary and Jack’s relationship strong and everlasting.

Hillary and Jack – Your wedding day was nothing short of perfection! I absolutely adored spending your best day ever with you and your amazing friends and family. I was giddy with excitement all day long, and I hope that these photos capture how magical of a day it truly was. You both have hearts of gold, and I am so happy to have met you both. While the girls got ready upstairs, the guys were downstairs enjoying the gorgeous July day.

  

Hillary’s mom, Bonita, made all of the gorgeous bouquets and boutonnieres. I just loved them ….

 

I could have photographed Hillary all day long. She is simply GORGEOUS …. and her dress …. swoon.

Jack looked extra dapper in his suit, and he was a total natural during the groom photos. Look out GQ.

 

Nicole caught this sweet moment of the flower girl helping the ring bearer adjust his tie before they walked down the aisle. I mean, how cute?!

I loved this moment of Hillary smiling at her dad right before they got to Jack.

 

Hillary and her sister Brittany are very close – especially after living in Florida together. When I saw Brittany smiling at her sister during the ceremony, my heart melted.

 

Oak Hill Farm is pretty much a photographer’s dream. I could and would have photographed Hillary and Jack all day long.

 

This was Nicole’s perspective when I was shooting the above photo. This is exactly why I love having her shooting with me during bride and groom photos.

 

Hillary and Jack DIYed almost all of the details for their wedding, and I was in love. She thought of everything and it all came together just perfectly.

    

Hillary and Jack wanted to do something unique for their entrance as bride and groom, so they rode up to the party in style.

Guests enjoyed a root beer float bar for dessert … and just like any bar … there was a long line.

Just before sunset, Hillary and Jack snuck away for some more photos. The light was dreamy ….

The first dance is always one of my favorite parts of the wedding day to photograph because of the sweet moments that happen during it.

 

Jitterbug had the dance floor packed all night long.
