She more of a homebody preferring to stay in and relax while he is more into the social scene enjoying nights on the town with friends. Domenic developed a crush on Loie while they both attended medical school at Northwestern. It seemed that every time he was about to introduce himself, Loie was heading out the door.

So when Domenic spotted her across the room at Bull and Bear one night, he knew it was time to make a move. He invited her to stay … just a little bit longer. While Loie was ready to snuggle up with her cat and call it a night, she agreed to one more drink. They spent hours together that night which turned into days together over the following weeks, and soon months … and now they are planning to spend forever together as husband in wife.

I met Loie and Domenic at Lincoln Park for their engagement photos.

The colors around Lincoln Park are absolutely gorgeous in the fall, and I couldn’t have been more excited to spend some time in the company of Loie and Domenic.

My best friend, Christine of Christine Janda Design and Events is planning Loie and Domenic’s Chicago wedding, and I couldn’t be more excited to see all the pretty she is designing.

Domenic is one of the most laid-back guys and he lets Loie be the center of attention with her bubbly, cheerful personality.

The cloudy skies (and a few minutes of rain drops) cleared giving us beautiful golden hour sun for our session.

The couple brought along their stethoscopes to the shoot which I thought was such a fun little prop for these doctors.
