Engraved in her necklace are the latitude and longitude coordinates of the place they first met. Ashley almost canceled that date, but DOC Wine Bar was literally down the block from her place … so she went.
Days before, Ashley’s sister was in the match-making mindset, when she grabbed Ashley’s phone, logged on to her Tinder account and started swipping right to all the guys that were Ashley’s type. When she came across Greg and swipped right, there was a match. A short note later, Ashley and Greg had plans to meet for a glass of wine in Lincoln Park.
Over the basic getting-to-know you questions, the two were smitten with the comfortability they shared. One date turned into another, and months later, Greg got on a knee and surprised Ashley with a beautiful engagement ring and the promise to live their lives together. Forever.
I met Ashely and Greg at Lincoln Park which seemed fitting as it is the neighborhood where they fell in love.
While the weather didn’t quite feel like spring, the trees were covered in fresh blooms.
Many thanks to Christine Janda for sending this amazing couple my way. Christine is planning Ashley and Greg’s wedding at Gallery 1028, and I cannot wait to see what they dream up.
Ashley and Greg love exploring Chicago, drinking wine and hanging out at their local pub, George Street Pub.
The light was simply spectacular and made for a perfect day …
Ashley and Greg have this sweetness to them that instantly makes you feel like you have been friends with them forever. I am honored to document their love, and I cannot wait for their wedding in September!
Love this story!! Ashley is such a special girl!! Many Blessings. Nicole Dowling
