Sara was in town from college when her friend invited her and a few other friends over for sushi and sake. It was a small group of people …. only four to be exact …. one of whom was Andrew. Sara met Andrew and politely chatted with him throughout the night, however what stood out about him in her mind was his long, wild hair.

Months later, Sara spotted a handsome guy while out with her friends. She introduced herself, only to find out they had met before …. it was Andrew. He had cut his hair and finally caught Sara’s eye.

Slowly they began to talk and spend more time together … which months later evolved into a relationship. She adored his easy-going personality, and Andrew loved Sara’s energetic and goofy side. In each other, they found someone who compliments them perfectly.

I met Sara and Andrew in Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park is where the couple currently lives and it is also the spot where Andrew proposed … making it extra special for their engagement photos.

The summer afternoon was beautiful and called for some dancing amongst the beauty of Lincoln Park.

Sara and Andrew were laughing throughout the entire session, and I just loved capturing them so happy.

Andrew is a charming guy who is genuine and has great socks!

Sara doesn’t take anything too seriously. She exudes silliness and fun which only brings joy to those around her.

Sometimes a little bit of sunshine makes all the difference …

Together, Sara and Andrew love to golf, watch Walking Dead, and eat at Macku (which is also where they had their first date).

Sara and Andrew will marry next June in Arlington Heights … so it was lovely to document their love where it all began in Chicago.
