Last weekend, I had the chance to work with my B.F.F. I guess you could say it is a perk of the job …. especially when your best friend is a fabulous event planner at A Perfect Event. Christine planned an extraordinary 50th birthday party complete with floating lily pads in the indoor pool, a balloon drop, and pretty much the most gorgeous floral I have. ever. seen.

Doesn’t this table make you swoon?! I was so in LOVE.

Guests were welcomed with pomegrante bellinis as they entered the party. And these yummy cocktails kept flowing all night long with a self serve bellini bar.

Vegan passed hor d’overes included Vietnamese spring rolls and tofu skewers with a carrot ginger aioli. I wish I could have put these in my pocket to eat later because they looked (and smelled) amazing!

Everywhere you turned were stunning floral arrangements. I wish my house could have this many beautiful flowers (… but I’d settle for just one … hint, hint, Phil … Valentine’s Day is approaching.)

Wes and Sean from Blend Acoustic played all night long … and let me tell you … they were amazing! If you are looking for some live music … definitely check them out.

As the gang finished singing “Happy Birthday”, a 350-balloon drop was released. Such an amazing moment to capture!

I’ll end on this adorable picture of the birthday girl, Dee, and her husband, Mike, just as she finished opening up her “cheesy” birthday gifts (hence why she is wearing that hat). How adorable are they?!?!
