I love engagement sessions. For a ton of different reasons …. but it is even more fun/special when I get to photograph an engagement session when it is one of my oldest friends. I know, I have said a couple times on this blog that this X + Y are my oldest friend … but for real, Jenny and I have been friends for so long, I don’t know when we actually first became friends. My mom and Jenny’s mom have been friends for over 28 years … so naturally when they both had little girls who were less than a year apart in age, it meant that we were destined to be friends.
I have so many memories of Jenny … having sleepovers at her house where we would make up crazy dance routines and perform them for our moms … playing Barbies until we couldn’t dress another doll … and afternoons of her trying to teach me how to play pool (which I still am terrible at … btw). We watched love stories and talked about falling in love over the years … so when she told me she was engaged to Mike … I was beyond thrilled for her!
Jenny looks at Mike in the way you just know they are crazy about each other. You can see the sparkle in her eyes and the glow on her face that she found the one. And it is evident that Mike adores her just as much. He might have a tough guy exterior, but he is smitten. I’m so happy that these two found each other … I can’t wait to be able to document their wedding next May!
