Eileen and Mike might be two of the nicest people I have ever met. They are the type of people that deserve truly the most perfect wedding day. So when the skies were grey (and there was a chance of rain) … I was praying and praying that the weather would hold out for their wedding. I never want it to rain on a bride’s day, but I especially wanted Eileen and Mike to have a beautiful day.
The morning started at Eileen’s childhood home where Molly and I were greeted with open arms amidst the hectic energy of 8 gorgeous ladies primping. As we made our way to Hotel Baker, I was in love with all of the little details that Eileen and Mike had put together for their wedding day. The gorgeous flowers among succulents, the beautiful archway for their vows and the prettiest ribbon tree to adore their place cards. Everything about it was so pretty. And it continued as the acoustic guitar played as Eileen walked down the aisle to marry her best friend. These two promised to spend forever at each other’s side …. even incorporating an old Irish tradition of tying their hands together during their ceremony.
Everything was just perfect … until the weather decided it couldn’t wait any longer and started to rain … just as the ceremony ended. While I was slightly bummed that the rain put an end to using the gorgeous rose gardens for photos, Mike and Eileen did not let it get them down one bit. Literally, they were beaming smiles and beyond excited that they were finally husband and wife and the celebration could begin.
Eileen and Mike – I loved being there to tell the story of the day for you both. I know the years ahead will be full of love and bliss as you start your journey as husband and wife in San Francisco. I wish you both nothing but the best! Lots of love and xo – Brittany
