One of my favorite things about being a photographer is capturing moments. True, authentic moments as they unfold. So when Julio emailed me asking if I could photograph his proposal to Yasmin, I knew I HAD to be a part of his special moment.

Julio dropped to one knee on the bridge at the Lincoln Park Zoo just three days before Christmas (which also was his birthday) as the snow flurried around. It was such a magical moment … there was no one on the bridge except them (and me…) and Yasmin had the reaction that every guy hopes for .. shocked, overjoyed, emotional. And I would be lying if I didn’t admit that as I watched Yasmin’s perfect reaction unfold, I got a little teary-eyed behind the camera. How could I not? These two are beyond adorable.
