Jennifer and Matt crossed paths by chance. They were out in Chicago with friends when they first met, but it was the days after when their relationship developed. Matt planned a perfect first date at Waterfront Cafe on Lake Michigan. As the water crashed into the shore, they found themselves completely smitten with the comfortability they shared. They enjoyed good food, amazing views and realized they had found someone special. It was no surprise Matt proposed a couple years later as they stood next to the Christmas tree at the Walnut Room.

The love they share is no more evident than in Chicago where they fell in love. We spent the afternoon enjoying the beautiful fall colors in Lincoln Park, soaking up the insane golden light and laughing throughout the process.

Jennifer and Matt told me they were nervous for their engagement session, but they were complete naturals in front of the camera.

Matt is extremely thoughtful and ambitious. Jennifer told me she loves his adventurous side because it keeps their time together fun and exciting.

When they are not traveling together, Jennifer and Matt love to curl on their couch in Bucktown and watch movies.

Jennifer is patient and easy going … and beyond sweet.

After a quick outfit change, we strolled over to the lakefront and had this view of the Chicago skyline to ourselves.

Matt and Jennifer will marry next year, and they are thrilled to celebrate their love with those they love most. I am so excited for what is in store!
