He took her out for Indian food. Brooke wasn’t sure she liked Indian food, but she thought that her first date with Zac would be the perfect time to try something outside of her comfort zone. After all, this date was all about new experiences.
Brooke and Zac knew each other from growing up in Champaign together, but it wasn’t until they reconnected in Chicago years later that they started to get to know each other. Zac had just moved to the Windy City after the Marine Corps, and he was hanging out with the same group of friends as Brooke. One night, they starting talking … and not just small talk but about real things. About what they wanted out of life. Where they wanted to go. How they saw their futures. And they realized that they had a lot in common. So, Zac asked Brooke out on a date to see if their friendship could evolve into something more.
When their first date ended, Brooke realized that by saying yes to Zac, she found two new things she really liked : Indian food and an amazing guy named Zac.
I met Brooke and Zac at Lincoln Park for their spring engagement photos. Lincoln Park was full of pretty blooms and gorgeous golden hour sunlight and it felt so great to have these two in front of my camera for it all.
Because Brooke and Zac’s relationship began in Chicago, they wanted their engagement photos to reflect their love for each other and the city. Lincoln Park was the perfect location for their engagement photos.
I had so much fun spending the afternoon with Brooke and Zac and learning more about the things they love to do in Chicago like checking out all the amazing restaurants the city has to offer.
I just adore romantic moments like these!
The session was full of lots of laughter, sweet kisses and love. What else could a photographer ask for?!
I am so excited to photograph Brooke and Zac’s Chicago wedding at the Blackstone Hotel in November!
