They met in the most unlikely of places. A bar. Al spotted Amanda across the bar and being the determined guy he is … he knew he had to talk to this gorgeous girl no matter what. So he walked up to her … very confidently … and said hello. They talked about how he was Lithuanian, what Amanda was studying at ISU and more. Amanda gave Al her phone number … but it wasn’t until three months later when she was back in town from college that they went on their first date.

Al realized he had met a special girl, so just eight months after they started dating Al planned the biggest surprise of Amanda’s life. He coordinated with Amanda’s college sorority president and friends to propose during a special sorority candlelight ceremony. Amanda was completely clueless … trying to avoid attending chapter that night because it was election night (hello, boring!)… but her friends persuaded her to go. And as the candle went all the way around the room and the lights slowly came on … Al was standing on one knee asking to spend the rest of his life with his beautiful girl.

This September can not come quick enough for me to document their wedding. Until then … enjoy some of my favorite photos from our Naperville Riverwalk engagement session.

We started our session at the best little spot at the Naperville Riverwalk. I have shot a couple times here, but when I found this secret gem, I was in love.

How adorable are these two?!? They made my job super easy all afternoon long.

Al has made Amanda a total wino … so Amanda arranged for us to take some photos inside the Tasting Room in downtown Naperville. This place is so cute, and everyone there was beyond sweet … offering complimentary tastings to the love birds.
