Courtney and I first spoke TWO days before her wedding. She hired me moments later,  and so began the fastest relationship I’ve had with a couple. Just three days before her Oak Hil Farm wedding, Courtney + Tanner’s original wedding photographer canceled, and she was scrambling to find someone. The universe must have destined us to work together because Courtney was led to me via Becky, the owner of Oak Hill, and I happened to her wedding date available. :)

Their Galena wedding ceremony took place in the most magical forest at Oak Hill. The warm August day radiated the love that their closest friends and family celebrated. Courtney and Tanner are the type of couple who are adored by their inner circle, and it was apparent throughout the whole day. Just as the sun dipped behind the fields, we snuck out to the sunflower field for some golden hour photos of the newlyweds. I’ve photographed over 10+ weddings at Oak Hill over the years, and I had *never* been there for the sunflowers, so I was just as giddy as Courtney for the photos.

Courtney + Tanner – Congrats to you both! I am so grateful that the universe connected us together because you two are simply amazing. I hope that your wedding day was only the start of what will be endless happiness, love and new adventures together. Thank you for inviting me into your perfect day to document your love. It was pure magic!
