Some weddings just feel like sunshine, and Alexa & Joel’s Mansion at Tuckahoe wedding was exactly that. These two are effortlessly laid-back, full of joy, and the kind of couple who care more about moments than details (though the details were gorgeous too). Their weekend in Jensen Beach was all about slowing down, being with their favorite people, and soaking up the Florida magic. It kicked off with a welcome party at Alexa’s parents’ beautiful waterfront home where 100+ guests gathered for cocktails, dancing, and quality time—exactly the kind of vibe they envisioned when planning this destination celebration.

The wedding day started with two of the sweetest first looks—one with Joel’s daughter and another with his bride. It was such a meaningful reflection of the love they all share and the beautiful family they’re building together. Alexa was the most calm, go-with-the-flow bride (which didn’t surprise me at all—she was just as lovely when I photographed her brother’s wedding at The Langham in Chicago). She radiated love all day long, and their ceremony overlooking the water at the stunning Mansion at Tuckahoe was emotional in the best way. The reception, planned and designed by AM Event Co, was tucked under a tent glowing with lights, filled with laughter, dancing, and truly some of the best food—thanks to Laura Ashley Catering. Instead of a traditional dessert, they led the entire party in a mini beer shot toast, and honestly? It was the most “them” thing ever.

Alexa and Joel are the kind of people who make everyone feel like family—and it was an absolute honor to be part of their day.
