Toussaint stood with a huge smile on his face as Marcia walked down the aisle at St. Elizabeth Seton Church toward him. He fought back the urge to kiss her in that moment and instead embraced her in the tightest hug …. only letting go so he could wrap his hand around hers and pledge his love to her.
Marcia and Toussaint are magnetic and make people around them want to get even closer. In each other they found their best friend, true love and constant cheerleader. Their vivacious personalities only brighten their love and prove that they are better together.
As they promised a lifetime of squash matches and ukulele jam sessions, love radiated throughout the room. The evening was spent toasting, celebrating and dancing in honor of one of the happiest couples ever.
Marcia and Toussaint, I don’t even know where to begin … so I’ll just jump to it … the world is better with you two in it. From our very first Skype date, I knew we would be fast friends, and I loved sharing in your day! Thank you for welcoming me into your Jamaitian family. You deserve the best, and I’m beyond thrilled to call you clients…and friends. Love and Gratitude – Brittany
The day started off with a room full of amazing (and gorgeous) ladies who love Marcia unconditionally.
As Marcia slipped into her dress, her bridesmaids cheered with excitement.
Everyone took turns buttoning Marcia’s dress. But first let’s have a moment for this dress ….
Marcia is a beautiful person inside and out. She exudes a quiet confidence, and she is always smiling.
Simply stunning ….
When Marcia and Toussaint started dated, they would de-stress from medical school with little ukulele jam sessions overlooking the Chicago skyline. I love that Toussaint played his ukulele on his wedding day to celebrate this.
Many thanks to Nicole for capturing Toussaint as he got dressed.
The couple wed at St. Elizabeth Seton church surrounded by their dearest friends and family.
Toussaint glowed with excitement as Marcia made her way to his side.
Throughout the ceremony, there was so much joy and laughter between Marcia and Toussaint.
In addition to the traditional vows, Marcia and Toussaint also wrote their own vows to each other.
Their families were thrilled to watch them become Mr. and Mrs.
Toussaint and Marcia shared lots of hugs throughout the ceremony. There is no doubt that they completely adore each other.
Officially husband and wife!
Guests celebrated their love at the historic Patrick Haley Mansion in Joliet.
Marcia is the type of person who has a TON of friends. She wanted to include as many friends into her wedding day, so in addition to the traditional bridesmaids, she also had “friends-of-honor” who wore blue and doubled as her something blue. All of the ladies were so wonderful to be around.
Toussaint and his groomsmen were cool, calm and collected despite the 90 degree weather.
There are so many words that I would use to describe Toussaint : kind, genuine, smart, outgoing …. but one of my favorites is fun. He knows how to make everyone around him laugh, and he has a zest for life.
The Haley Mansion is gorgeous and it made for excellent wedding day photos for Marcia and Toussaint.
A favorite!
Toussaint and Marcia are best friends. He embraces her singing and her OCD personality … and loves her even more for both.
I could photograph them all day … so we soaked up the last few minutes of golden hour, and I am so glad we did.
Inside the reception, the joy and bliss continued.
Marcia has three sisters and each one of them shared a beautiful toast with the couple.
In a room full of hundreds, it was clear how loved these two are. They radiate positivity and joy, and it is impossible to not feel the same in their presence.
Marcia and Toussaint choreographed one amazing first dance.
It even had a few spins in it …
… and lots of moments of complete laughter.
Even the dances with both of Marcia and Toussaint’s parents were high energy and full of so much happiness.
The dance floor was full of amazing fashion and dance moves …. which is my kind of party.
As the newlyweds danced late into the evening, they remained at each other’s side which is exactly where they wanted to be.
A huge thank you to all of the team members who created the best day ever for Marcia + Toussaint.
