Paige + Mike planned a gorgeous destination wedding of their dreams in Ashville, North Carolina – a spot that they vacationed together and fell in love with. But as 2020 evolved and COVID-19 altered their wedding plans, they knew they didn’t want to wait to become husband and wife any longer, even if that meant giving up on their day in Ashville. They quickly planned a beautiful outdoor ceremony and tented outdoor reception with their closest 25 friends + family at the gorgeous Knollwood Country Club in Lake Forest. Standing underneath a huge tree on the golf course — surrounded by the people who love them most — they vowed to always support each other no matter what life brings their way.

What I loved most about being a part of Paige + Mike’s intimate wedding at Knollwood was how laid-back it was. Their guests arrived at the property welcomed by cocktails and mingling with the couple. They snapped photos with their friends and family and simply enjoyed their guests until it was time for Mike’s brother to officiate the ceremony. Everyone gathered around them, forming this semi-circle of love, as Mike and Paige beamed with happiness at each other. The beautiful summer night allowed everyone to put outside enjoying a bonfire, bags and the twinkle of the stars. While it wasn’t exactly what the two thought their wedding day would look like, it was a day that exuded in love, happiness and new adventures. Paige + Mike, thank you for allowing me to be apart of such a special day for you!
