It is always SO special when I get back to Chicago, and it is even better when it is because I’m taking Chicago Riverwalk engagement photos with one of the sweetest couples. This Chicago engagement session brought ALL the city vibes. Ashley + Tim escaped their everyday routine for a special evening in downtown Chicago, a place so close to their hearts. They’ve spent countless weekends strolling the Riverwalk and admiring the city’s architecture, so it was only fitting to capture their engagement photos in such a meaningful location.

We had a magical afternoon complete with soft, golden light, the bustling energy of the city, and the iconic Wrigley Building adding a touch of magic and charm to the scene. I always joke with my couples about finding the perfect urban spots, but with Chicago’s endless charm, it’s never a challenge. From the reflections on the river to the historic bridges, every moment felt like a scene from a classic romance.

Ashley’s classic white engagement dress and Tim’s timeless black suit only elevated the locations we explored making their photos feel like they were perfectly styled out of an editorial spread. Not only are these two absolutely adorable, but they brought so much love and fun to the shoot, embracing idea I suggested. I’m SO thrilled to be photographing their Chicago wedding this October and to have Ashley as a bride after photographing her 5 years ago as a bridesmaid.
