Lori and I met over four years ago. I was a little intern working at a public relations agency downtown, and she was my officemate’s supervisor. Whenever she would come into our office, she would stop and chat about life with us….always being bubbly and energetic. She was the type of person I gravitate toward and one of the few people I really connected with while working in PR.
So when Lori reached out (such PR speak!), a few weeks ago with a big secret that she wanted me to document, I couldn’t have been more excited or honored. It had been nearly 4 years since I last saw her, and I was thrilled to capture some photos of her, her adorable hubby, Brian, and their photogenic dog, Drake, to announce the important milestone for their family. You see, being the marketing brained lady Lori is, she wanted a fun, creative way to tell their friends and family that they were preggers.
We met in the West Loop just a few blocks from Lori and Brian’s place and spent time at a nearby park with beautiful afternoon light, tons of fun props and a sense of total excitement that we were getting some of the first pictures for Baby O’s memory book. Here are a few of my favs. And Lori, I’m sure this post isn’t written or punctuated in AP style….but I’m an “artist” now. :)
Congrats again, Lori and Brian! I can’t wait for Baby O to get here.
I can not thank you enough Brittany, these photos look amazing!
You are SO welcome! I had so much fun, and I am SO excited for you both!!! :)
I agree with what Brian said. Thank you for capturing this special moment in our lives. We will treasure these photos forever!
