There is always something extra special about photographing a dear friend’s wedding and Chris and Rachel’s Bridgeport Art Center wedding was oh-so-special for me. I have been friends with Chris since our high school geometry class, so we go way, way, way back to when I was just a girl who took way too many photos in high school. Chris found the perfect match in Rachel as the two have traveled the world together, explored Chicago, and loved on their perfect furbabies, Taco + Tequila. My heart was exploding with happiness being apart of their Chicago wedding.
Rachel and Chris got ready at the LondonHouse on a snowy, January morning. Despite the snow and wet ground, we braved the elements so we could have their first look on the rooftop of the hotel which has amazing views of Chicago. Their wedding party was amazing allowing us to sneak in a few photos at the Wrigley Building before we headed to Union Station for a few more photos.
Rachel thought of every single detail for their wedding day and made sure to incorporate elements of their love of adventure and travel into their wedding ceremony and reception decor at Bridgeport Art Center. Flowers for Dreams completely transformed the Skyline Loft with beautiful white drapes and gorgeous chandeliers and tons of greenery. One of my favorite parts of their wedding was when Rachel’s dad, a trumpet player, joined Greenlight for a few songs during the reception.
Their Bridgeport Art Center wedding wouldn’t have been as perfect if it were not for these amazing Chicago vendors :
