Mary and Danny are the type of people that exude fun. Even from the moment I first met them, I knew that their wedding day was going to be exciting, unique and most importantly fun. And that is exactly what the day looked like.

The sun was shining and the Chicago weather was just perfect as the 4th of July weekend came to a close and friends. The day was full of lots of love, heartfelt speeches, and the most dancing I have seen at any wedding .. yet. I guess that is what happens when you combine a Greek family with a Latino family.

Mary and Danny – Thank you both inviting me to share in your wedding day. You both have hearts of gold and your families were beyond sweet all day and night. I know that the love you share for each other will only deepen over the years as your family continues to grow. Lots of love and xo.

Mary’s friends and family were so welcoming. I loved spending the day with them because I have always wanted to be a part of a Greek family …. and this Greek family … well they stole my heart.

Mary was simply glowing ….

Danny and his groomsmen got ready at Hotel Sax in Chicago. And Danny rode to Annunciation Greek Orthodox church in style this is amazing vintage car. I’m pretty jealous of this ride.

Most of the old churches in Chicago are stunning, but I have to admit that I am really in love with Annunciation Greek Orthodox. The architecture and the murals are beyond.

Mary and Danny vowed to spend their lives together during a traditional Greek ceremony. I was a little worried that the candle was going to catch on Mary’s hair or veil because they have to hold the candles for almost the whole ceremony (and I have seen it happen before!), but these two are candle holding rockstars. For real! #Impressed.

We headed to Olive Park for some wedding party photos … and everyone was such troopers. It was a warm (somewhat, sticky) July afternoon, but we were lucky to have the sun tuck behind the clouds for most of the group photographs.

When we finally got Mary and Danny alone for a few photos, they couldn’t stop laughing. There is nothing that I love to shoot more than authetic moments, and I was SO happy to have them smiling and laughing. I mean how adorable?!
