It was over 10 years in the making before, Jordan and Kristin reached this day. They are high school sweethearts … a couple that navigated the confusing young adult years growing up together. They went though it all together – high school proms, college graduations, and life in Chicago. So when Jordan proposed on New Year Eve 2011, it was the one question Kristin had been waiting for since she met Jordan.
The two escaped the cold winter in Chicago to say their “I do’s” on the beautiful beach at the Now Sapphire in Mexico. It was a perfect day for a perfect couple. The sun glistened upon the turquoise blue water as the waves slowly crashed into the white sand beach. As Kristin and Jordan stood before their friends and family, you could not help but see the strong friendship and amazing love that these two share. Their love, laughter and tears were infectious.
Kristin’s mom Carol, was extraordinary in planning such a beautiful wedding … thinking of every little detail for the day.
I’ve been lucky enough to know Kristin since we were 16 … and I swear she told me that she would marry Jordan back then … so it was extra special to be there to document her big day. She carried a gorgeous, glitzy bouquet made of broaches that were given to her by her friends and family.
Almost a 100 friends and family traveled to Mexico to witness Kristin and Jordan promise to love, honor and cherish one another.
As the sun set in the west, we had the most gorgeous light and weather for their photographs. You can’t really get a better backdrop like this.
The reception was full of emotional speeches from Jordan’s brother, Joe, and Kristin’s cousin, Shelly. I got a little teary eyed behind my camera….
Kristin and Jordan are one of the most fun couples I have worked with. They go from moments of sweet kisses to moments like below where they are just living in the now.
Kristin + Jordan – I cannot even begin to describe what an honor it was to document this day for you. You guys are amazing, and I am so happy that this day finally happened for you both. I know that the years ahead together will be even better than the years before. Congrats again!
