This sweet, sweet maternity beach session in Lake Forest only reaffirmed how much I LOVE photographing on the beach. I could shoot on the beach every day … all day. :)

Taylor, Nick and Emmy are long-time clients of mine which makes all the beautiful candid moments unfold so naturally during their sessions. Instead of worrying about what they need to do, they just soak up Emmy and leave me to document their adorable growing family. I love watching my clients’ families grow and evolve which is why this shoot was so special to me. I have known Taylor since we were kids, and I photographed their first maternity session a few years ago, so when Taylor wanted to do something different for this family maternity session, and I knew the beach was the perfect spot. What I love about these beach maternity photos is that Lake Forest Beach transports us outside of Chicago with the lush green hill full of wildflowers, rocky beach line, and gorgeous water. It made for the perfect backdrop as Taylor and Nick wait for their 2nd baby girl to join their family this fall.
