Ever since I relocated my Chicago photography business to Naples, Florida, I have had the opportunity to meet a ton of sweet, sweet families on the beach from all over the United States. It is so fun to chat with them from where they are from (I am always trying to guess based on their accents first) and hear all about their plans for their beach vacation. But what I love most about photographing families in Florida is that most of the session are extended family photos  I think it is amazing that so many families carve out time during their vacations to Florida to have professional photos taken.

When Clare initially emailed me looking for a Naples extended family photographer, she told me she (and her sister + their sweet little families) wanted to surprise their parents with a photo session as a Christmas gift. I was so excited! I think extended family photos are legit the best gift for parents. (Greyson, this is a future note to you, my sweet baby boy, mom’s always want photos of their kids / with their kids over things).

This family couldn’t have been more fun, easy going and sweet to photograph. I love that they opted to take these photos at their home (which was insanely beautiful + landscaped with the most magical, tropical plants) versus the beach because this house holds so many beautiful memories for their family. The bonus for me for this session was that the group is from Chicago — so I was able to get a little taste of home while photographing them at their gorgeous waterfront Naples home.
